THE ROOM & THE FOOD:
Jimmy's is tucked away behind the United Artist movie theater, El Torrito and Claim Jumpers so you just might miss is. The obvious attraction is their fish. We decided to try it out before we took in a movie. Perfect location and we didn't have to repark which is a huge advantage.Jimmy's claim they serve a selection of15 fresh fish daily. I have to say that from the begining to the the end of the meal I was quite unimpressed. The room lacked ambiance. I felt for some reason I was in a cafetria. The staff were friendly but a bit uninterested. Ken had the clam chowder and it was quite good, the salads were huge but nothing very special. I had the salmon and I am a salmon lover and it was just okay. Ken ordered sea bass and he said he liked it but it tasted dry to me.
THE SERVICE:
The service was "rote" friendly but quick. I didn't feel special but I also didn't feel rushed.
COMMENTS:
I really have no intention of going there again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. It is not an awful restaurant by any means but it is just blah! My meal wasn't horrible it just didn't "pop" for me.
