Hot & Spicy Dry Rub

Hot & Spicy Dry Rub

Makes about 2 1/4 cups.

Ingredients:

  • 8 Tbsp. paprika (hot or sweet per your taste)
  • 3 Tbsp. cayene pepper
  • 5 Tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 6 Tbsp. Kosher salt
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. dried oregano
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. dried thyme

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Store in air tight jars or tins.
  3. Store in refrigerator or cool pantry.

Notes:

This spice is very good on pork tenderloin done on the grill. It is also a very good dry rub for ribs. It is especiually good mixed with butter to make a compound that I smear under the skin of chicken that I can grill or roast.
